The course lasts for 2 days.

Classes can take up to 10 learners.

Award
Safety Solutions certificate and I.D. card.

Duration of certificate
Valid for 3 years.

Venue
Training is available at the Safety Solutions Training centre or at the Client’s premises.

Course description & General Information

Training should be completed by all who are exposed to the potential for confined space entry work. Under the 2005 SHWWA employers have a duty of care to provide training to employees suitable to their job description.

A Confined space is defined as, any place including any vessel, tank, container, vat, silo, hopper, pit, bund, trench, pipe, sewer, flue, well, chamber, compartment, cellar or other similar space that by virtue of its enclosed nature creates conditions which give rise to a likelihood of accident, harm or injury of such a nature as to require emergency action due to the presence or reasonably foreseeable presence of:

• flammable of explosive atmospheres,

1. harmful gas fume or vapour,
2. free flowing solid or increasing level of liquid,
3. excess of oxygen
4. Excessively high temperatures.
