The Project Supervisor construction stage is responsible for the managing & co-ordinating the construction phase safety and health issues on site. Regulations 3 to 134 of the Construction Regulations 2006 and particularly Regulation 6, provide a framework for this process, with the requirement that the key risk management issues be set out in writing in the Construction Phase Safety & Health Plan. Should you choose to appoint Safety Solutions Ltd. as the Project Supervisor Construction Stage, we must follow this list of duties ( this list is not exhaustive) - Co-ordinate the implementation of the construction Regulations by contractors.
- Organise co -operation between contractors & provision of information
- Co-ordinate the reporting of accidents to the authority
- Notify the HSA before construction work begins, where construction is likely to take more than 500 person days or 30 working days.
- Provide information to the safety representative
- Co-ordinate the checking of safe working procedures
- Co--ordinate the provision of maintainence of welfare facilites
- Ensure that all craft, general construction workers & securityworkers have a Safety Awareness card eg:Safe Pass
- Co-ordinate the appointment of a site a site safety representative where there are more than 20 persons on site
- Appoint a safety advisor where there are more than 200 people on site.
- Provide all necessary safety file information to the PSDP
- Monitor compliance of contractors and other, take corrective acttion where necessary.
