Objectives of Course: ➢ To ensure that operators are properly trained. ➢ To understand the principles of accident causation and prevention. ➢ To consider the work area conditions necessary to ensure safety. ➢ To understand the relevant legislation in relation to the safe use of Abrasive Wheels. Course Content: ➢ Con Saw / Abrasive Wheel Regulations ➢ Basic Safety Rules ➢ Flanges ➢ Blotters / Washers ➢ Hazards from Abrasive Wheels ➢ Storage of Wheels ➢ Guards ➢ Maximum Speeds ➢ Dressing Wheels ➢ Work Area Conditions ➢ Marking Systems for Wheels Who should attend this course: This course is suitable for those with a responsibility for the installation, operation and maintenance of abrasive/grinding wheels.
