Course Details
Minimum No. Of Participants: - Course Description: This course provides specific training for personnel involved in managing, supervising and working in confined spaces. Objectives of Course: Prepare, plan, select and organise people and equipment to carry out work in a confined space meeting the requirements of current legislation, safety procedures and safe systems of Work Entry into Confined Spaces following the appropriate Safe Systems of Work. Course Content: Day 1 ➢ Legislative requirements ➢ Specific duties of employers, supervisors and employees relating to confined space areas ➢ Competent persons ➢ Confined Space Regulations ➢ Recognising Confined Spaces and associated hazards – familiarisation and practical exercise ➢ Risk Assessment, Work Permits, Method Statements, Isolation and Confined Space Entry Procedures Day 2 ➢ Knowledge & understanding of Escape Sets ➢ Gases and Atmospheric Testing ➢ Emergency Rescue Equipment and Procedures ➢ Confined Space preparation and entry by candidates ➢ Candidate demonstrates evacuation of Confined Space ➢ Written Text (multi choice) ➢ Review and Assessment Who should attend this course: All personnel likely to be working in confined spaces entry and those with a responsibility for persons working in an area identified as a confined space under the Confined Spaces Regulations 2001. General Information: Personal proactive equipment required for the course: hard-hat, hi visibility vest, overalls, gloves, construction boots. Any Pre-course Requirements?
