Course Title: Confined Space Entry using Breathing Apparatus

Course Description:

To provide specific training for personnel involved in managing, supervising and working in confined spaces.

Objectives of Course:

Prepare, plan, select and organise people and equipment to carry out work in a confined space meeting the requirements of current legislation, safety procedures and safe systems of Work Entry into Confined Spaces following the appropriate Safe Systems of Work.

Course Content:

Day 1
➢    Legislative requirements
➢    Specific duties of employers, supervisors and employees
➢    Competent persons
➢    Confined Space Regulations
➢    Recognising Confined Spaces and associated hazards
➢    Risk Assessment, Work Permits, Method Statements, Isolation and Confined Space Entry Procedures
Day 2
➢    Practical Confined Space First Aid Procedures
Day 3
➢    Gases and Atmospheric Testing
➢    Emergency Rescue Equipment and Procedures
➢    Hands-on Confined Space preparation and entry
➢    Hands-on Confined Space Emergency Rescue
Who should attend this course:

Designed for managers, supervisors and operatives who may need to enter a confined space to carry out work including: cleaning, building inspections, CCTV operations and survey work who need to wear breathing apparatus.



General Information:

Personal proactive equipment required for the course: hard-hat, hi visibility vest, overalls, gloves, construction boots.

Any Pre-course Requirements?

All candidates must have a good level of fitness and present a medical certificate.
