Course Title: Confined Spaces Awareness Training

Course Description:

It is vital for people who work in confined spaces to know how to look after their own safety and that of others. This course trains people in the correct procedures to follow when working in a confined space, and trains them in rescue procedures.

Objectives of Course:

On successful completion of the course the candidates will be able to:
➢    Identify work places which are, or are likely to become, confined spaces.
➢    Understand the legal requirements in relation to working in confined spaces.
➢    Identify confined space hazards and ways of controlling them.
➢    Recognise unsafe atmospheres and conditions and take remedial action.
➢    Follow procedure as set out in the Work Permit.

Who should attend this course:

All experienced personnel working in confined spaces and those with a responsibility for persons working in an area identified as a confined space under the Confined Spaces Regulations 2001.
