Training is generally requested at the client’s premises but learners can also avail of the Safety Solutions Training facility if preferred.
Course Description
The HSA have indicated that this qualification will become a mandatory requirement for Instructors from April 2012.
The RPL process (Recognition of Prior Learning) is designed to assist trainers who are actively involved in Manual Handling Instructing to achieve the new award, without a requirement to complete the full Instructor Programme again.
Candidates will also need to provide the following:

Safety Solutions will assess all applications and suitable candidates will be able to attend a refresher and assessment programme at Safety Solutions. This programme will provide candidates with an opportunity to be fully briefed and assessed for the new FETAC level 6 award in line with the assessment criteria.
